At K2L our students will in most cases
begin training in our Basic level
program. (This isn't always the case
but most times.) These Basic students
will be working on their physical
conditioning and self-defense along
with structure, attitude, knowledge in
martial arts, and life-skills. We work to
improve our student's discipline at
home, school, and at martial arts
practice or any other sports they may
be participating in. Once our Certified
Instruction Staff feels we have a
dedicated student who has what it
takes to become a leader at home,
school, and at practice the student will
be rewarded for their hard work and
dedication and invited to train in our
advanced programs. Each student is
unique so the time one spends in our
beginning level depends on that
student. At K2L students are not
compared to other students. Progress
is based strictly on personal victory not
a standard or expectation set by our
curriculum. This is one reason why
K2L has one of the best records of
retention of all martial arts programs in
the nation.
When the time is right (all students are different) students graduate to the next level as they progress towards becoming a Black Belt Leader. Our belt system to the 1st Degree Black Belt is as follows:
White Orange Yellow Camo Green Purple Lo Blue Hi Blue Lo Brown Hi Brown Lo Red Hi Red Recommended Black Recommended Black Midterm 1st Degree Black Belt
